Identity reflecting the ever-shifting existence of nature.

Designed for a speculative botany show that takes place annually in London, this visual system draws from perpetual cycles of change in plants and humans alike. The patterned abstraction allows for the beauty of botany to take root across the city through a range of printed and digital collaterals.

The multi-textural approach takes inspiration from variegation, where zones of difference colours are visible on a plant.

It can occur naturally due to genetic mutations, an over or under-exposure of sunlight, or through viral infection—and is often a desirable trait amongst plant enthusiasts.

These unique and uncontrollable patterns create diversity, underpinning the beauty of botany as well as our wider society.
